Meet the Team

  • John Abernethy, MD

    Founder & President

    Dr. Abernethy is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine and is board certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. He is an Addiction Medicine doctor for Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, a large nonprofit serving north central Florida. He has treated thousands of patients with addictions and mental health issues over the past decades. He also has been involved in clinical research for the past decade. His passion is helping to find new therapies to help underserved populations including veterans and unfunded patients. He is a Major in the US Army Reserve Medical Corps.

  • Jackson Streeter, MD

    Co-Founder

    Dr. Streeter is a graduate of the University of Nevada School of Medicine and a veteran of the US Navy. Dr. Streeter previously served as the CEO of Banyan Biomarkers, Inc., and raised over $70M from the Dept. of Defense and NIH, and $11M in private investment for the development of a first ever blood test for traumatic brain injury. Prior to joining Banyan Biomarkers, Dr. Streeter served as the Founder, CEO, and Chief Scientific Officer of PhotoThera Inc, and the Co-Founder of American Veterinary Laser. Dr. Streeter has served as an Officer in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Flight Surgeon.
